The 25th Annual Southwest Quantum Information and Technology (SQuInT) Workshop will take place at The Clyde Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico in October 26-28, 2023. It will be organized by the Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) at the University of New Mexico (UNM).

SQuInT is a consortium of universities, national labs, and industrial labs, with concentration in the southwestern United States. The SQuInT meeting has a strong tradition of mixing invited talks from world-class leading researchers with talks by junior researchers across the SQuInT network, to promote an interactive environment.

The meeting brings together the broad community of researchers in Quantum Information Science, including experimental physicists, theorists, and computer scientists.

The event is supported by the National Science Foundation through the Center for Quantum Information and Control.

The rapidly advancing field of Quantum Information Science is a synergy of many different disciplines including information science, complexity theory, computer science, and various branches of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and engineering.

Leveraging Southwest’s local experience in this field and building on the existing enthusiasm and momentum for collaboration, a local network of universities, national laboratories and industry was formed.

SQuInT was founded on December 17, 1998 at the IBM Almaden Research Center.
