The first QuantHEP Conference will be held in Bari, Italy, on 25-27 September 2023, and aims to become a regular conference for the Quantum Technologies and High-Energy Physics communities and fostering their scientific collaboration. The conference stems from the QuantHEP QuantERA Project.

The Conference represents an occasion to present and discuss ideas and results on how Quantum Technologies can help address scientific challenges in High-Energy Physics, and how in turn the latter can bring new insights into Quantum Information Science.

Topics will include:

Quantum algorithms, in particular for the analysis and simulation of events from large particle-physics experiments, quantum-inspired tensor network methods, lattice gauge theories, quantum complexity, quantum computing solutions for high-energy and quantum matter, quantum sensing, quantum technologies.

The scientific contributions will be organized in talks, posters and discussions.

QuantHEP – Quantum Computing Solutions for High-Energy Physics is a research project whose key goal is to develop quantum algorithms as a solution to the increasingly challenging, and soon intractable, problem of analysing and simulating events from large particle-physics experiments.

Project QuantHEP bring together researchers from the Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies Group at CeFEMA, IST-ID & PQI in Portugal, from the National Institute for Nuclear Physics in Italy, and from the Quantum Computing Group of the University of Latvia.

The project is funded through QuantERA, the European cofund programme in Quantum Technologies.
