The 19th edition of the HiPEAC conference, which brings together computing systems from around the world, will be held in Munich Jan. 17-19, 2024. The event, a highlight of the European computing systems community’s calendar, offers both unparalleled networking opportunities and the chance to identify priorities for future directions in the field. This year, continuum computing and frontier AI are central themes, complementing the conference’s traditional focus on high-performance and embedded architecture and compilation.

The HiPEAC conference is the leading European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for general-purpose, embedded and cyber-physical systems.
Areas of interest and integration include safety-critical dependencies, cyber security, energy efficiency and machine learning.

As in previous years, the program offers a comprehensive exploration of computing systems at all levels of the computing stack, ranging from edge devices to HPC installations. In addition to the main session, a total of 33 workshops and 11 tutorials will present advances in computing research, offer hands-on sessions with the latest technologies, and provide opportunities to exploit project results.

In addition to long-standing topics such as performance and energy, the HiPEAC conference provides an opportunity to reflect on issues that affect the entire computing community, such as sustainability. Tours of the Leibniz Supercomputer Centre are also available.
