The school EQAI 2022, “Quantum Machine Learning: from Fundamentals to Applications” will be held at the University of Udine on 12-16 September 2022

Quantum Machine Learning is one of the most promising developments in Artificial Intelligence.

The application of Quantum Computing to ML / AI is in fact one of the most interesting applications of quantum research. It comes from a combination of physics, mathematics, information theory and computer science and has the potential to provide high computing power, lower energy consumption and exponential speedup with respect to classical computers.
This will enable incredible advances in various fields, addressing various problems such as complex physics simulations and optimization problems.

It is crucial to study ways to develop efficient and effective Quantum ML algorithms to take advantage of this new technology.
There are also many challenges ahead: the output of quantum computations is noisy and current quantum computers have very limited memory. It is therefore of the utmost importance to disseminate knowledge on this topic and to involve new researchers who can contribute to its progress.
