As in every year since 2018, CINECA and Università Statale di Milano will once again organise the annual High Performance Computing and Quantum Computing (HPCQC) workshop. For the past eight years, the workshop has been dedicated to showcasing recent achievements at the European level in the fields of quantum computing and HPC. 

Given the high number of submissions received in recent editions, this year too we will select the best contributions through a call for abstracts. Would you like to present the results of your recent work to the Italian and European scientific community? Submit your abstract and take part in the selection! 

The eighth HPCQC workshop will be held at CINECA, in the Fibonacci event room (Casalecchio di Reno), on 15–16 December 2025. The event will be organised in hybrid mode (in-person/remote). Please note that speakers must be present on stage (no remote talks). Registration is expected to run from 01/11/2025 to 01/12/2025 (dates to be confirmed). Speakers will be automatically registered.

Submission Guidelines 
We are accepting abstracts for presentations. Please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your submission: 

  • Abstracts should be between 250–300 words. 
  • Clearly state the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of your research. 
  • Highlight the relevance of your work to Quantum Computing or High-Performance Computing. 
  • Indicate the main area of relevance of your work (algorithms, software, or hardware). 
  • Submissions must be received by 26/10/2025, 23:59 CET. 
  • The subject line of the email should be: 
    [HPCQC 2025 Abstract] Name Surname – Affiliation 
    (please replace with your actual details). 

Submissions that do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.
