One of the most challenging goals in the field of quantum simulation and computation is the study of gauge theories, that constitute the baseline in our microscopical description of the universe, from high-energy physics to condensed-matter phenomena. In this framework, efficient numerical methods capable of accessing non-perturbative regimes of these models play a fundamental role as a cross-verification toolbox for current and future experiments on quantum hardware. In this talk, I will show an application of Tree Tensor Network (TTN) algorithms for the study of these physical problems, by focusing on the low-energy properties of Quantum Electrodynamics.
