Abstract

Quantum computing promises some computational advantages over classical computing. However, for many algorithms, the collaboration of both paradigms will be necessary. In the presentation, the case of an algorithm to classify Hermitian matrix definiteness based on Quantum Phase Estimation kernel will be analyzed, and the importance of taking into account the contribution of the classical part in the study of computational advantage will be shown. Finally, the role of HPC in the development of quantum algorithms will be illustrated.
